Beecroft Rugby Club have been cordially invited by Auckland Blues Under 85kg and the New Zealand Barbarians Under 85kg sides to play 2 matches in Auckland, New Zealand.

The first game against the Auckland Blues franchise will be played Wednesday 31st at the Home of College Rifles. This game will be played under lights on the non abrassive astro turf pitch.

The second match is the big rematch scheduled for Saturday the 3rd of April. This game versus the New Zealand Barbarians will be the curtain raiser for Auckland Blues vs Bulls from South Africa Super 14 match. Not many people could ever boast that they have played at Eden Park in Auckland.

In March this year Beecroft narrowly went down 17 – 14 to New Zealands best. Its time for pay back.

What you need to do ? I need you to highlight if your interested in attending. There is a heap of work to get this up and running so I need your commitment.

The tour is a pre-season tour for the Beecroft Rugby Club.

Its over the Easter break and we have no normal games scheduled and should not clash with anyones uni timetable. The Club will put a package together in order to get the best price for everyone and will include everything from playing gear to uniforms and supporters gear. Its open to players, partners, sponsors, girlfriends, mums and dads. This is not just a boys week away, all are welcome ! So far we have had interest from over 40 people.

Stay close to www.beecroftrugby.com as we will be posting a registration button where you will need to enter all your details and pay a deposit.

This is a trip of a lifetime so please get in early and register your interest.

Don’t forget keep your weight under 85kgs your fitness up as we will be taking a squad of 26 players and all the necessary, coaching and support staff. New players are welcolm also to try out. Those who just want to come for a holiday and watch you are more then welcome too.

To any ‘Crofties who would like to come down to Bilgola Surf Club and have a look around, maybe see what is involved with becoming a bronze medal holder or just check the place out, have a game of touch and a swim, next Sunday, the 11th October, is your chance. We, that is, the Beecroft Patrol, will be doing our first patrol for the season, 9.00 am till 1.00 pm.

See Levi drive the “rubber duck” and see Childsy fall out. See Dooley get over his Saturday night, it’s all happening.

Seriously though, we will be able to show you around, have some fun and even a cold drink after we knock off.

Any queries ring any of the above, you will probably remind them they are on patrol, or ring me on 0418 438882.

Summer fun starts now!
